From ancient cave paintings to beatniks, The Beatles, and Steve Jobs, psychedelics are believed to have inspired painters, musicians, filmmakers and poets for millennia, allowing people to temporarily step outside the confines of the limited rigid thinking of their normal, waking state in order to gain new insights, make new connections, and create new works of art and science, and in doing so furthering the progress of human civilisation and culture in countless ways.
With her background as a painter, Amanda Feilding is fascinated by the capacity for psychedelics to inspire creativity. The Beckley Foundation will carry out a number of projects with scientists and artists around the world in order to learn more about this process.
