Amanda Feilding has contributed to a review of current knowledge relating to ayahuasca, co-authored by Elisabet Domínguez-Clavé, Joaquim Soler, Matilde Elices, Juan C. Pascual, Enrique Álvarez, Mario de la Fuente Revenga, Pablo Friedlander and Beckley collaborator Jordi Riba.
The paper evaluates the recent scientific evidence for the therapeutic potential of ayahuasca, including its potential to treat various psychiatric disorders, its potential to enhance self-acceptance, and its beneficial mindfulness capacities.
This systematic assessment relating to the neuroscience and pharmacology of this psychoactive plant brew will be immensely valuable in identifying fruitful future avenues for research.
