Beckley in the Media
The Beckley Foundation has often been approached to do a piece for a newspaper or the television. Until recently, we have avoided any such publicity, but now feel that raising public awareness of the potential and importance of the areas in which the foundation works could be of great benefit to furthering both the scientific and policy research. Dr Ronald Sandison, who has died aged 94, was a well-known psychiatrist and an early pioneer in Britain of the clinical use of LSD; although he later abandoned using the drug in treatments, he remained convinced of its benefits to the end of his life.
